By now, the “bloggers snagging front row seats at the shows” debate is pretty stale.  Bloggers are becoming a permanent fixture with or without editorial approval.  Do they deserve these coveted spots?  I mean, I think so, but I’m 100% biased.  Bloggers work really hard and are minimally compensated.  If one perk of being a successful blogger is a great seat, I think it’s much deserved.  However, I realized the only fair way to decide was to take it to the streets.  And I mean, the actual streets.  So I present to you the Jets and the Sharks.  The Montagues and the Capulets.  The best of NYFW so far.  Only the streets will decide…

So, I know most of us are bloggers, but who won?  Have the bloggers earned their keep?  I’d say so…

Bloggers win by far! Someday, we hope to nab a couple of those envied seats ourselves!

The bloggers are more creative, and have more chutzpah. The editors wear more expensive clothes..

Great post! I think bloggers and everyone interested in my opinion should have the opportunity to go to NYFW without invitation. Great post! :)

Biased as I am, I think the bloggers definitely earned their keep this year. And are going to be around for some time!

I totally agree with you. Just as many people read blogs today as they do read newspapers and when it comes to fashion, it’s all about the blogs and because I read blogs to stay current on the latest fashions, you guys NEED to be at fashion week in order to keep us average folks informed on the latest in the fashion world :)
