I love, love, love a dark, dramatic & memorable eye line. I’ve always thought my eyes were a bit small, but I’ve used eyeliner (since I was like 10) to emphasize them and make them seem bigger. I’ve been tricking everyone for years (!!), but recently learned a few new things about the art of lining one’s eyes. Thought I should share. First of all, if you haven’t tried Kohl eyeliner, you should. It’s amazing what it can do. My favorites are Guerlain and Dior.
Thanks to my spin instructor, I learned about the importance of lining your top inner eye. I had not been doing this, ever. It does amazing things for you. Your eyes instantly appear so much bigger. This video she shared showed me how to really get in there and line the heck out of your eyes. SO good. Here’s a link to it. And while we’re on the subject of makeup tutorials on youtube, Emily Weiss’s routine is still my absolute favorite. Stunning. Watch it here.
I also stumbled upon this crazy, little video involving a kohl liner & a bic lighter. I never thought to heat the tip (heat the tip!), but it’s such a good idea. Makes the color so much more intense and gives you that POW. Here’s the link to that video. Did you think you could learn so much in such a short post?
Points if you can tell me if this is the same Olsen as up top.
Plus, this is really fun:
And this shows the difference between white, nude & black liner for your water line (bottom eyelid, inside – hitting the ‘water’ on your eye)
Isn’t it so cool? I personally like the nude. Which do you wear?
